This project was a series of creative developments and performances that interrogated aspects of Australian colonialism and the cult of the explorer. The intention was to reconsider and re-frame historic Australian 'hero' archetypes through a female lens and through a practice of immersion in and connection to landscape. The Explorers is part of Sally Richardson’s larger body of artistic work and her PhD research. Read more about it here.
